Louis Vuitton Unveils “Amen Break” Men’s SS22 Residency in Soho
Honoring Virgil Abloh’s creative vision.

Louis Vuitton has unveiled its new men’s Spring/Summer 2022 residency in Soho that highlights the last SS22 collection from the late creative director, Virgil Abloh.
As the fashion world still mourns the loss of the highly revered designer, tributes and sentimental efforts have arisen around the world in honor of his memory. The newest residency from the French luxury house highlights the forthcoming release of Abloh’s final collection that was inspired by Amen Break, which was a 1969 drum solo by The Winstons. Featuring a black-and-white checkerboard floor, birch trees, Louis Vuitton’s Damier pattern and multi-colored gradient mannequins, the store has been transformed to reflect Abloh’s creative vision.
Additionally, the store is outfitted with ready-to-wear garments and accessories from the SS22 – featuring some of Abloh’s signature creations like soft trunks, Millionaires sunglasses, LV Trainers, contemporary suiting and more. Encompassing the designer’s cross-generational influence from skate culture, music, sports and nature, the store also showcases novelty items like skateboards, key chains and fashion jewelry.
In tandem with the temporary Soho residency, Louis Vuitton is also set to unveil a 10-story neon-gradient mural of Virgil Abloh at the house’s 5th Avenue flagship store this month. Check out the images above for a look at the store that is located at 104 Prince Street in New York City.
