Technics Releases a Blacked-Out Version of Its SL-1200G High End Turntable
Priced at $4,850 USD.

Technics has just unveiled a new high-end turntable as part of its SL-1200G hi-fi series.
Maintaining the SL-1200G’s signature features like the iron-coreless direct-drive motor, hybrid encoder, cold-drawn magnesium tonearm, high-precision tonearm, three-layer platter, and four-layer high-rigidity cabinet, the SL-1210G receives a full blacked-out makeover in place of its previous silver exterior.
“We learned from the huge success of the limited-edition SL-1210GAE, which was launched in June 2020 and almost immediately sold out,” says European Technics Product Manager Frank Balzuweit. “We realized there was high demand for a ‘regular’ black version of this flagship 1200 Series model. In its striking black finish, the new SL-1210G possesses genuine elegance.”
Priced at $4,850 USD, the Technics SL-1210G will go on sale in October.
