Appearing on the red carpet for the 18th-anniversary party of Jay-Z‘s 40/40 Club in New York City, Lil Uzi Vert revealed why he hasn’t been sporting his $24 million USD pink diamond.

Speaking to TMZ, the rapper was asked if he still had the massive precious stone revealing a recent situation that forced him to stop wearing it. “I had a show at Rolling Loud and I jumped into the crowd and they kind of ripped it out.”

It is assumed that during his Rolling Loud Miami set in July, the diamond became loosened from the forehead setting leading to Uzi having to temporarily retire his now-signature statement piece. Though Uzi did assure that the diamond is still safe and in his hands. “I’m feeling good. I still have the diamond so I feel.

In case you missed it, Kendrick Lamar recently registered 32 new song titles with the ASCAP.
