JW Anderson Taps Oscar Wilde For a Second Capsule
A series of unisex apparel featuring Wilde’s handwriting artwork.
JW Anderson taps poet and playwright Oscar Wilde once again for a second capsule collection following the Spring/Summer 2021 drop. As with the debut collaborative collection, the latest series revolves around the motto “the secret of life is in art.”
Founder and Creative Director Jonathan Anderson is a big admirer of Oscar Wilde for his literary ability as well as what he represented in his time as a gay Irish outspoken rebel. As an Irish gay man himself, Anderson celebrates the spirit of Wilde and continues to challenge the status quo through the co-branded series.
The unisex collection features a medley of pinstripe patterns, ribbon straps and Oscar Wilde handwriting artwork. Apparel silhouettes include printed hoodies, straight leg trousers, A-line patch pocket skirts, Pullstring parkas, Long sleeve T-shirts, roll neck tops and oversized tape shirts. Accessory options incorporate gold and silver “The secret of life is art” jewelry pieces, neckband scarves, asymmetric striped bucket hats, and totes.
The JW Anderson Oscar Wilde collection is now available exclusively on the JW Anderson website and the JW Anderson Soho London flagship store.
