Clothes for Progress (C4P), artist Clay Arlington, and Carhartt WIP have teamed up for a three-way collaborative capsule titled “Uniform for Change.” With C4P’s charitable efforts at the forefront of this collaboration, the collection continues C4P’s fundraising and awareness driving of social injustices in the Black community, standing in solidarity with the Black community to end all forms of racism.

C4P’s goal is to bring equality for all humans, and by donating clothes it gives proceeds to Black Lives Matter UK, Nederland Wordt Beter, Black Queer and Trans Resistance Netherlands, National Bailout, and The Black Archives. This collaboration, enlisting Clay Arlington and Carhartt WIP, adds to the charitable work done by C4P.

With this in mind, Arlington has taken Carhartt WIP’s workwear garments and applied a series of hand silk-screen-printed, one-of-a-kind artworks that highlight that more work is still to be done in defeating social injustice. Comprising T-shirts, dungarees, jackets, trousers, and posters, Arlington applies artwork of flowers, text, and iconography all while intersecting this with the names of the organizations listed above, or working in words such as “Tulips,” “Burners,” and “June.”

The capsule is nothing short of impactful, with stark white pieces contrasted with bright red and bold black graphics. Overall, the collection is liberating, but of course, it still reflects that there is more to be done.

Take a look at the collection above, and shop the range from June 16 onwards. It’s available through Clothes for Progress‘ Instagram account, as well as at Carhartt WIP’s Amsterdam store.
