The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" Now The Longest Charting Solo Song in Billboard Hot 100 History
Continuing to make history.

The Weeknd recently reiterated in his 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards acceptance speech that the After Hours era is officially over and he’s taking off his red suit. However, his fans are clearly still hooked as the Song of the Year “Blinding Lights” has now also become the longest-charting solo song in Billboard Hot 100 history.
After charting its 78th week, the solo passes the previous record-holder, Jason Mraz’s “I’m Yours”. It’s yet to be seen whether it will surpass Imagine Dragons‘ “Radioactive” which currently holds the record at 87 weeks spent on the singles chart.
