With Pride weekend on the horizon, New York City is preparing to come alive once again. Whether you’re a seasoned local or an out-of-towner looking for some fun, we’ve got you covered with a list of some great LGBTQ+-friendly options across the city.

Manhattan

Le Bain:

Located in the Meatpacking District, Le Bain is a rooftop bar and discotheque of The Standard hotel. Known for its DJ sets and exciting atmosphere, the bar+disco has been a popular destination for years. Le Bain also features a pool, which is sometimes covered to add extra space to the dance-floor. Le Bain hosts a queer dance event every weekend, in addition to a slew a Pride events that are scheduled for this upcoming weekend.

Alibi Lounge:

Located in Harlem, this chic nightspot features specialty cocktails, wine, beer and snacks. Happy hour specials run until 8 p.m. every night, perfect for sipping while taking in the lounge’s multitude of drag performances. Alibi Lounge is one of the last Black-owned gay bars in New York City.

REBAR:

Located in Chelsea, REBAR isn’t just your average gay bar — it also functions as a space for the entire lgbtq+ community.  REBAR features happy hour specials, cabaret and drag shows and live jazz and pop music all week.

Pieces Bar:

Located in the West Village, Pieces Bar has been around since 1993. Known for cheap drinks, good music, great drag performances and wild decorations, the bar presents a viable option for starting or ending your evening’s festivities.

The Stonewall Inn:

Located in Greenwich Village, this bar and cultural landmark is where the gay liberation movement began  over 50 years ago (the Stonewall Riots took place in 1969). Even though The Stonewall Inn is now a National Historic Landmark, that doesn’t mean the fun has died down. The bar continues to be a popular queer space with drag shows, karaoke, dance events and Pride-themed events. Sit at the long bar on the main level or venture to the  second-floor dedicated to performances.

Brooklyn

3 Dollar Bill:

Located in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn, 3 Dollar Bill is the largest queer venue in Brooklyn. It functions as a multi-purpose bar, nightclub, live performance and music venue. With a plethora of opportunities for fun, the Brooklyn spot has quickly become one of the most frequented LGBTQ+ spaces in the city. 3 Dollar Bill features a bar, dance floor, two stages, an outdoor patio and a full kitchen. So look no further if you want a one-stop shop for drink, food and entertainment.

The Rosemont:

Located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, this queer bar features a large back patio and is known for being welcoming to all. In addition to the DJ-adjacent dance floor, the bar also offers cheap drink specials. This is the perfect destination for late-night fun when you’re not ready to go home yet.

Mood Ring:

Located in Bushwick, Brooklyn, this bar boasts astrology-themed cocktails and is lit up by an assortment of LED lights. A large bar and velvet booths sit in the front room, while the back room is dedicated to dancing. That being said, it creates the perfect atmosphere for having fun or for a low-key catch-up with friends.

Lot45:

Located in Bushwick, Brooklyn, Lot45 is a 5,000 square ft. lounge and restaurant. Its aesthetic takes on a transformed industrial and art-filled living room. The space features a main bar room with a stage and lounge sections, in addition to a garden. Lot45 also features nightly offerings from local DJ’s, making it a popular late-night dance spot.
