Medicom Toy Unveils Andy Warhol x Jean-Michel Basquiat BE@RBRICK
Modeled after their collaborative painting ‘New Flame.’
Medicom Toy has offered a brand-new BE@RBRICK modeled after Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol‘s collaborative work New Flame.
The artwork is often cited as a visual conversation that happened between the two artists, instead of words. The figure embodies a collage of mostly red and black palettes, featuring Basquiat’s signature scrawlings and motifs alongside Warhol’s pop art illustrations depicting coins. The title of the artwork is etched throughout the figure, juxtaposed by details like Basquiat’s. Each BE@RBRICK presents the collage in a unique pattern, so no two figures will be exactly alike.
Medicom Toy’s Jean-Michel Basquiat x Andy Warhol New Flame BE@RBRICK figure will be available for raffle on May 22 in sizes of 100% & 400% and 1000% on Medicom Toy’s website for ¥16,500 JPY and ¥75,640, respectively (approximately $151 and $692 USD).
