Bow Wow and Soulja Boy to Go Head-to-Head In 'VERZUZ'
Fans have been asking for this match-up since last summer.
It’s official: Bow Wow and Soulja Boy will be going head-to-head in a VERZUZ battle.
This was confirmed on Soulja Boy’s Twitter, just moments after Bow Wow teased the battle with the date. Founders of VERZUZ Swizz Beatz and Timbaland have yet to make the news public, but fans should be expecting an official announcement from them pretty soon — Swizz Beatz did, however, put up Soulja’s tweet on his Instagram Stories.
Responding to Soulja Boy’s tweet, Bow Wow said in an Instagram video, “Soulja, I have so many No. 1s. If you go on Google right now and you type in ‘Rappers with the most No. 1s,’ you will see Drake first, Eminem, Lil Wayne. I’m on a list with a lot of greats. There ain’t a lot of us.”
Soulja commented later on in an interview, “Bow Wow scared of me, man. You see when Romeo said something, he jumped right on it, but as soon as they said Big Draco’s name, Bow Wow be quiet as hell making up all types of excuses, man. Bow Wow knows what’s up with me.”
Fans have been asking for this match-up since last summer, so the upcoming battle could be one to watch.
