For fans of sushi looking for a real challenge, Tokyo-based plastic model maker Syuto has put together a painstaking model kit centered around the traditional Japanese dish.
Comprised of 366 individual pieces, the model is offered in tuna and salmon variations. Aside from the shiny replications of the raw fish slices, Syuto has prepared a frame filled with ultra-realistic plastic expressions of vinegared rice. The kit does not come with an instruction manual and only features a special liquid adhesive coating for builders to create their perfect fish to rice ratio and shape.
The Syuto Sushi Model Kits come in boxes that look like the takeout boxes used by restaurants in Japan and each kit requires 40-60 minutes to complete.
