2022 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class Receives Styling Upgrade
The mildly updated CLS is slated to be available in the U.S. in early 2022.

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class model has officially received a cosmetic redesign, focusing on a contemporary body trim, new colors and wheels.
The 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class enters the market with a sharper and sportier design, highlighting the new radiator bumper and grille in the front while also amplifying the dynamic expression of the four-door coupe. The CLS takes a note from the AMG as it receives the full AMG line exterior body kit, including more aggressive front and rear bumpers and a set of side skirts. The AMG-specific A-wing in black, and front apron help to make the C-Class more distinctive and aerodynamic.
The entry-level model features AVANTGARDE exteriors which include the front splitter in an attention-drawing silver chrome and the rear apron with a silver-chrome trim strip and a black diffuser-look insert. Car owners will be able to choose between either 5-twin-spoke or multi-spoke rims for its 19-inch light-alloy wheel.
Aside from the exterior, the CLS sees an enhanced interior with two new trim finishes that allow the center console to be available in either a high-gloss gray wood or open-pore brown walnut. Fans can choose between a range of leather seat upholstery such as in Neva gray/magma gray and sienna brown/black. The interior system is updated with Mercedes-Benz’s latest touch steering wheel as well as the MBUX multimedia system, equipped with a technologically updated driver assistance system.
In addition to these changes to the aesthetic, the CLS-Class specs remain unchanged. The vehicle is expected to have the same 359 pound-feet of torque and mild-hybrid 3.0-liter straight-six making 362 horsepower. The car will also still maintain its all-wheel drive and nine-speed automatic.
The modernized Mercedes-Benz CLS model officially releases this April 2021 and is set to arrive in dealerships across America in early 2022.
