Reebok Readies Metallic Question Mid "I3 Motorsports"
Inspired by Allen Iverson’s jewelry and the parallels between basketball and “bike life.”
Allen Iverson and Reebok are continuing their convergence of basketball and bike life with a new Question Mid “I3 Motorsports.” Inspired in equal parts by Iverson’s jewelry and the love for customization shared by ballers and bikers, the “I3 Motorsports” is a high-gloss homage to the man they call the Answer and his ability to float seamlessly between subcultures.
Uppers combine full-grain black leather with metallic silver patent leather for a Las Vegas Raiders-esque look that in fact draws from the high-contrast detailing often seen on dirt bikes and ATVs. Branding is done up in silver as well, with both the tongue and quarter panels’ Vector logo taking on the shimmering tone. Iverson’s signature Question graphic on the heel takes on a silver shade too, working with the black “3” logo on the midsole to bring branded flair to the rear. Eyestays are done up entirely in black, discarding their standard “Reebok” spellout to provide a more monochromatic style. Silver midsoles with silver DMX cushioning and icy black outsoles round off the look.
The Reebok Question Mid “I3 Motorsports” will release via the Reebok webstore on April 9. The MSRP is set at $140 USD for men’s pairs.
