Swiss bag aficionados FREITAG and London-based folding bike makers Brompton have teamed up for a collaboration perfect for the commuter. Combining the Swiss label’s penchant for crafting lightweight luggage and Brompton’s expertise in making bicycles, the pair introduces a combination that makes travelling light a thing of the past.

Crafted using a truck tarp, a selection of special FREITAG backpacks can be used as a classic bag, yet can be turned 90 degrees and clipped onto the front of a Brompton folding bike. Each bag features a double-zippered compartment made from recycled PET fabric, alongside an extra-long key strap to keep your valuables safe too.

Completing the collection is a limited-edition FREITAG x Brompton mud flap which screws onto any of the latter’s front mudguards, for a neat personalised touch.

The FREITAG x Brompton collab is available from April 14 via FREITAG Stores, Brompton Junctions and on the FREITAG webstore.

In other news, a community of sustainable 3D-printed houses are popping up in California.
