Drake Relaunches OVO Sound Radio on 24-Hour SiriusXM Channel
Making its return after almost three years off the air.
Drake and his OVO imprint have relaunched their OVO Sound Radio show on a new 24-hour SiriusXM channel.
The show, now titled Sound 42, is broadcast live from Toronto and lays out tracks from Drake and similar artists. ”First and foremost I want to send some positivity and blessings out to everybody,” Drake said during a chat with his manager Oliver El-Khatib. “I hope you’re staying physically strong, mentally strong and making the most of what we’ve been dealt. I’m excited to announce this new platform and this new opportunity that we have with SiriusXM, a 24-hour, round- the-clock curated music station bringing the people that have trusted in us for years the same thing that we’ve always delivered.”
Sound 42 originally aired on Apple Music Beats 1 between 2015 and 2018 and has been off the air since. The original show featured premieres, guest mixes and special guest appearances from the likes of Pharrell, Roy Woods and Diddy.
