Disney Unveils Latest 'Raya and the Last Dragon' Trailer
The trailer also debuts the brand new Jhené Aiko song, “Lead The Way”.
Disney has dropped a new trailer for Raya and the Last Dragon, giving audiences a taste of Jhené Aiko‘s new song, “Lead The Way”.
The latest animation trailer features Raya narrating the history of Kumandra, and how the people of her home have been left divided over time. The trailer showcases the latest snippets of Raya with dragon ally, Sisu, on an action-packed adventure to save the people of Kumandra from monsters known as the Druun. Prior to these clips, Raya’s father tells her, “We can be unified again. But someone has to take the first step,” setting the scene for what is to come.
Disney also teased a never-before-heard electric R&B song by six-time Grammy nominee Jhené Aiko. Only a few vocalizations of “Lead The Way” are heard in the sneak peek, with the film’s music video for the track drkllj g next month. The song is expected to be featured in the end credits, as well as included on the animation’s official soundtrack, available digitally starting February 26, 2021.
The movie is slated to feature the voices of iconic Asian-actors and actresses including Kelly Marie Tran who is the lead warrior Raya, Daniel Dae Kim voicing Raya’s father, Awkwafina who plays Sisu the dragon, Sandra Oh as Namaari’s powerful mother and Gemma Chan as Raya’s nemesis Namaari.
Raya and the Last Dragon arrives in select theaters nationwide but will be available on Disney+ for Premium Access on March 5, 2021.
