Wheaties Celebrates 100th-Anniversary With Collectible Michael Jordan Cereal Box
Following a Muhammad Ali Century Box earlier this year.
For its 100th anniversary, Wheaties pays tribute to basketball icon Michael Jordan as part of its ongoing year-long centennial celebration.
“A modern-day legend and inspiration for champions of all ages, Michael Jordan is an incredible athlete, humanitarian and entrepreneur,” said Kathy Dixon, senior brand experience manager for Wheaties. “We are so proud to launch the next box in our anniversary series honoring one of the greatest sports stars and most-decorated Wheaties athlete in history.”
The limited-edition century box sees Jordan appearing for the 19th time, having first appeared on the box cover in 1988. The new Jordan cover joins the Muhammad Ali Century Box which kicked off celebrations earlier this year. “The athletes featured in the commemorative series are those who transcend sports and decades as the brand looks to its next 100 years,” said Wheaties in a press release. As part of the year-long celebration, Wheaties will also partner with Jordan’s NASCAR team 23XI Racing and its driver Bubba Wallace.
The collectible Michael Jordan Gold Foil Box is now available for $25 at the Wheaties website, while the Michael Jordan Wheaties Century Box is available at grocery stores nationwide for $5 USD.
