DOMREBEL, the art studio that was founded in 2003 in Montreal, Canada, is ready to cause a bit more good trouble as it unveils its SS22 collection. The collective of artists became known as an underbelly of the Canadian streetwear scene, creating original cartoon characters with mischievous undertones and exploring applications in clothing and across fine arts. The studio is known for its intricate hand-detailing and artisanal treatments, which are all done at the brand’s headquarters, a Montréal atelier. The artisans specialize in hand-setting Swarovski crystals, destruction techniques, vintage wash treatments and hand-painting.

The Spring/Summer 2022 collection takes on DIY aesthetics, but executes them with an eclectic mix of high quality fabrics and savoir-faire applications. The graphics feature mischievous versions of DOMREBEL’s cartoon characters, developed via screen prints, embroideries and paintings, upon a range of boxy tees, heavyweight sweats, track pants and denim. Each crewneck, sweatshirt and hoodie in the collection is made with heavyweight 500 gsm French Terry Cotton that is milled in Toronto, Canada, while the denim collection is made in Los Angeles from premium Italian denim. Each piece can be customized by adding the brand’s signature hand-set Swarovski crystals or distressed holes.

The DOMREBEL SS22 collection is available worldwide at luxury retailers such as Harrods, Selfridges, Saks 5th Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Lane Crawford, SKP Beijing, Farfetch, Samaritaine, Rubaiyat and Harvey Nichols. The first delivery of DOMREBEL SS22 is also available today on the brand’s website, with a second delivery slated for January 2, 2022.
