Wasted Paris Delivers a Moody FW21/22 Collection
Inspired by the city’s historic grunge scene.
For the Fall/Winter 2021/2022 season, Wasted Paris is back with a collection that represents the blossoming of a new mindset and is inspired by the ‘90s grunge scene in Seattle.
Founders Xiang Fang Ye and Johann Liebel utilize a natural color palette for the offering, including brown, terracotta, red, and dark blue, in addition to a few other tones in washed effects. Collection silhouettes have grunge-laden themes that are visualized on knitwear, shirts, pants and outerwear garments. Knitwear remains the focus of the collection and includes a red sweater with a flower graphic, a red and black spiral sweater, a blue-grey turtleneck, a large black and white checked sweater and more. A knitwear highlight is an oversized cheetah print mohair cardigan.
Beyond knitwear, the collection features a blue cheetah print short-sleeved button-down, black carpenter pants with white stitching, two black fleece jacket styles, a blue plaid jacket and a black faux leather puffer jacket with the brand’s name embossed on the back. Rounding out the collection is a small selection of hats, which include bucket hats and a beanie.
Additionally, Wasted Paris is collaborating with Charles Peterson, an American photographer known for capturing the city’s historic grunge scene and for this work with Seattle-based independent record label Sub Pop.
