The Whitaker Group has been on fire all-year long with its footwear collaborations, especially for its Social Status entity that has already dropped an exclusive Waffle One and its “Chocolate Milk” Dunk to the public this year. And now, it’s reconvening with Nike to complete its Free Lunch-inspired collection with the launch of the Social Status x Nike “Free Lunch” Dunk makeup.
Aesthetically, the kicks are home to a plethora of materials and pink shadings. A premium leather material makes up the quarter panels and toe boxes, both of which are dyed in a soft “Archaeo Pink” hue, while the tongues and ankle flaps and done up in a reddish pink tone. Bits of velvet also get their moments to shine here as they outfit the overlays that sit nearest the throat and toe boxes, as well as the collars. Swooshes come in two different forms on the base, the first being in jelly form on the lateral and medial walls while the second is in tiny, embroidered fashion on the forefoots. Moreover, the laces arrive in thicker, cord-like form, the tongues swap out the usual Nike branding for Social Status banners and the lower medial heels print out “ingredients” of the kicks.
Social Status has confirmed an October 15 release date for these at 11AM EDT via Social Status. Prices will be $130 USD for Adult sizes, $80 USD for Preschool sizes and $70 USD.
