Burger King To Test Out Impossible Nuggets and Launch Ghost Pepper Nuggets
Set to begin on October 11.
After a successful release of the “Impossible Whopper,” Burger King will be conducting a test run of Impossible Food’s plant-based chicken nuggets across America in cities such as De Moines, Boston and Miami. Aside from the latest plant-based menu item, BK will also be serving up its new Ghost Pepper Chicken Nuggets nationwide for a limited time only.
With eight pieces per order and a choice of dipping sauce, the nuggets boast a coating of golden-brown crispy breading wrapped around a juicy plump center. On the other hand, the Ghost pepper Chicken Nuggets are formed with tender white meat chicken encased in breading seasoned with spicy hot ghost pepper.
“This isn’t the first time we’ve teamed up with Impossible to make waves in the industry. In 2019, we became the first quick-service restaurant to serve the award-winning, plant-based Impossible patty and offer the iconic Impossible Whopper,” said Ellie Doty, Chief Marketing Officer of Burger King North America. “So, it’s only fitting we’re the first global QSR to test the Impossible Nuggets. We’re excited to hear what our guests in the test markets think of this latest innovation.”
Exclusive access through the BK app will be given to Royal Perks members to receive a first taste of the Ghost Pepper Chicken Nuggets. Both the release of the fiery nuggets as well as the trial run for the plant-based nuggets will start on October 11.
In case you missed it, the Taco Bell Cantina Crispy Melt Taco is now available across the US.
