Zenith Dresses the Fastest Chronograph in the World in Khaki Green
The “Urban Jungle Edition” carries the El Primero 9004 movement.
After debuting a blue variant followed by a black and white edition later in 2020, Swiss luxury watchmaker Zenith is now adding a third option to its modern Defy 21 line, this time tapping a khaki green tone for an Urban Jungle edition.
Much like its predecessors, the new chronograph retains its 44mm angular ceramic case, now featuring a matte green tone that extends to the caseback and the Cordura-style strap. The black and silver skeletonized dial exposes the highly-technical El Primero 9004 movement within, which is equipped with a timing capability of 1/100th of a second and carries two different escapements: one for the regular watch and one for the chronograph function. The 53-jewel automatic movement also carries an impressive power reserve of 50 hours despite operating at a speedy 5Hz for the watch and 50Hz for the chronograph.
For those interested, Zenith’s new Defy 21 Urban Jungle is now available for $14,500 USD. Head over to the company’s website to learn more.
Elsewhere in watches, Hublot has introduced an all-new automatic tourbillon movement via an orange sapphire Big Bang.
