Kendrick Lamar might be gearing up to release new music this 2020, as a recent photograph of the rapper supposedly filming a music video made rounds on the Internet.

The image, shared by a TDE fan account on Twitter, was originally taken on September 1 by People and shows K-Dot by a payphone in Los Angeles. Sitting on a plastic crate, he’s dressed in shorts, a white sweater, tube socks and black Chuck Taylors. A follow-up tweet by the account includes the original People caption that reads, “Pick Up the Phone. Kendrick Lamar shoots a music video in downtown L.A. on Tuesday.”

Although the singular image doesn’t confirm much, fans are almost positive that Lamar will be dropping his post-DAMN. material soon. Several industry heads have pointed at the possibility of new music arriving this year, with Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith telling fans that “king Kendrick will return soon” earlier this May, and former Billboard Editorial Director Bill Werde revealing in January that “recording on the new album may finally be done.”

In case you missed it, Kendrick Lamar is facing a lawsuit over his Rihanna-enlisted hit “LOYALTY.”
