Drake Gifts DJ Khaled With Iced-Out Owl and Lion Chain
“Drake was wearing one, now I got one. It’s called brothers.”
Drake has gifted DJ Khaled with a massive iced-out chain. It’s one of a handful of presents Drake has been offering to his friends this year, like the Diamond Rollercoaster chain to Matthew M Williams and the Yams Pendant to A$AP Rocky.
DJ Khaled’s new chain is molded in the shape of a large key, decorated with motifs of an owl and a lion. The owl mirrors Drake’s OVO mascot, while the lion and key are nods to Khaled’s viral catchphrases — Khaled’s newly released “Popstar” video, with Justin Bieber, showed Drake donning a similar pendant. Khaled took to Instagram to show off his new piece, saying “Thank you so much. This gift means to much to me.” He added, “Khaled and Drake. Drake and Khaled. It’s also special when we connect [...] Fully iced-out. It’s so heavy, the quality. Look at the owl, look at the lion, look at the key [...] Drake was wearing one, now I got one. It’s called brothers. Drake, thank you so much for your friendship. This is beautiful.”
