VERDY of Girls Don't Cry Releases "GO VOTE TOKYO" Limited Pins
For voters of the Governor of Tokyo election this weekend.

VERDY, graphic designer and founder of Girls Don’t Cry, is encouraging the general public of Japan to go vote this weekend, and as a motivation has created a limited set of pins for those who do.
The creative has launched his campaign “GO VOTE TOKYO” to push more of a voter turnout for the election on July 5th, 2020. The election — which will select the Governor of Tokyo — will tackle local issues concerning the handling of Coronavirus, as well as continued discussions on holding the Tokyo Olympics/Paralympic Games in Tokyo. As voting numbers have been a worry for citizens of the country before in past elections, VERDY’s campaign will incentivize those who take the time and effort in the act with a limited pin, only obtainable by registered individuals with proof of voting.
To receive a pin, completed voters for the election will receive a Voting Certificate issued and dated to them. Interested parties will then need to bring their ID and the certificate to any of the participating locations to receive a limited pin. The designs may vary based on location, but include messaging of “I VOTED” and “GO VOTE TOKYO” in different colors and styles. See the official locations below.
