Sony has debuted new PlayStation Studios branding for its first-party exclusive titles coming to PlayStation 5. There are various developers already under the Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios organization, however, this new branding is meant to be simpler and more focused on the PlayStation name.

Renown studios like Naughty Dog (Uncharted, The Last of Us), Polyphony Digital (Gran Turismo), Insomniac Games (Spider-Man), Santa Monica Studio (God of War), Media Molecule, and Sucker Punch (inFamous, Ghost of Tsushima) are all owned by Sony, and the new sequence is meant to highlight these studios and their titles as PlayStation exclusives.

The opening sequence above is very similar to the opening titles of Marvel Studios movies, as it showcases marquee characters from first-party titles like Uncharted, God of War, and The Last of Us over PlayStation face button icons.

The new animation will be featured in various forms at the beginning of upcoming games, trailers, and commercials starting this fall, alongside the launch of the PlayStation 5. Meaning upcoming PS4 titles like Ghost of Tsushima and The Last of Us: Part II will not feature the new branding.
