The 424 x adidas collaboration splashes little detail onto a sneaker where details are highlighted fairly easily. White uppers lay the foundation for the majority of the upper, with only a subtle hit of tan reaching the rear heel. The starkest contrast of course arrives on the tongue, where a bold “424” label is found in vibrant red. Inside, 424 branding is found adjacent to adidas’ trefoil on the insole as well, while a modified “SHELLTOE” foil print is found alongside the lateral for the remainder of the shoe’s typography. White stripes, tonal stitching, and a vintage-esque midsole and shell complete the clean looks.
These Superstar Shelltoes are a continuation of 424 x adidas models, which saw similarly colored SC Premieres and Promodels that dropped late last year. This pair of Superstars is the third to release in succession between the California label and the German sportswear brand. Expect the latest collaboration between 424 and adidas to release in the coming weeks.
Another fashion-brand-gone-footwear release to hit shelves recently are these chunky-soled sneakers by Acne Studios which are also available now.
