After releasing an expansive James Bond-inspired capsule last month, Swatch continues to pay homage to the fictional British spy with yet another limited-edition watch. This time around the brand shifts the spotlight to Q — described by the label as the “brain behind Bond’s greatest gadgets” — drawing inspiration from the character’s tailored and buttoned-up aesthetic.

In alignment with No Time to Die, the forthcoming film in the longstanding James Bond franchise, Swatch tapped the movie’s own costume designer, Suttirat Anne Larlarb, to help craft a timepiece that felt authentic to Q’s personality. Opting to use the brand’s ultra-thin SKIN Irony silhouette, the watch is coated in silver-toned stainless steel in order to play up the brainy character’s knack for both “tradition and futuristic innovation.” The face of the piece adds another pointed nod to Q by way of its exposed mechanical system, referencing the many tools and technologies that he employs in order to concoct Bond’s latest devices.

Logos on the dial highlight both the “Swatch” and “Q” monikers, which are placed at the 6 o’clock time marker for prominent branding cues. The style is then finished off with contrasting red edges and a brown plaid leather strap for a final sartorial touch.

The 007 x Swatch No Time to Die Q Watch releases on March 5 at 9 a.m. EST at select stores, as well as Swatch’s website. Look out for the movie to begin hitting theaters worldwide starting on April 2.

Elsewhere in the world of Bond, OMEGA has also recently celebrated the spy with the release of its Seamaster Diver 300M 007 edition.
