Following a series of teasers, Palace and adidas Golf have now unveiled their collaboration centered around one of the world’s oldest sporting traditions, with a lookbook featuring pro golfers Sergio Garcia, Dustin Johnson and Joaquin Niemann.

Adding to its growing line up of unexpected collaborative ranges, the latest team-up sees the uniquely British streetwear label investigate fairway staples. Tested and perfected performance-focused silhouettes from adidas Golf are reimagined by Palace with its signature branding motifs, bright neon tones and clever design sensibility.

Leading the collaboration is a hard-wearing anorak constructed of water-resistant nylon in bold orange neon. Decorative details come in the form of neon green trim at the collar, a rubberized Palace Golf badge on the right sleeve, Palace elasticized cuffs, a large Tri-Ferg at the rear and co-branding on the chest and neck. Other apparel items include a two-tone midweight layer short-sleeve shirt with a zipper mock neck, two co-branding marked technical polos and Palace Tour short-sleeve performance T-shirts dressed with Tri-Ferg logos at the back.

Additionally, the duo have prepared a golf course ready footwear option reminiscent of their 2015 Palace x adidas Pro Boost collaboration. Available in “Black” and “White” colorways, the upper of the shoe is constructed of perforated leather, with solid leather appearing at the midfoot to make up the Three Stripes. Branding efforts are continued in the form of “PALACE” stamped in gold foil and rubberized badges sewn onto the tongue. Finishing the design is an external TPU cage at the heel, ridged midsole with exposed BOOST foam and traction ridged rubber outsole with removable cleats.

Rounding up the collection is a cap, a sleeve, gloves, socks and towels, all defined by the Palace Tour and adidas Golf branding elements found throughout the lineup.

Ahead of the release, we spoke to Palace founder Lev Tanju to discuss the collaboration with adidas and learn more about his love of golf.

How did you get into the sport?

I was at a wedding a few years ago and you could hit golf balls off the roof. I hit a few straight and that was it, I was hooked.

Why is golf important to you?

You know what, I see a lot of similarities with skating. You can’t blame other people for how you are playing or skating that day, and it’s all inside your own head. It’s super hard and drives you insane. The mixture of power, finesse and feel. I love the way a 65-year-old can ping it further than a 24-year-old athlete as it’s all about power and movement in the right places.

Growing slightly older I also love how age doesn’t set you back, and how old you can still be competing at top levels.

How often do you play?

Depends how busy I am really, sometimes not for a month, then sometimes three times a week. I try to practice once a week. But I’m planning to play a lot more in the future basically.

Why do you want to do this capsule, etc.?

So I can wear Palace when I play!
