The Now Completely Operational Life-Size Gundam Shows off Hidden Features

Following the glimpses of Japan’s completely operational life-size Gundam, are now learning about hidden features of the completely operational mech at Gundam Factory Yokohama.
Aside from basic movement, preliminary testing of the 59-foot tall 1/1 representation of the original Mobile Suit Gundam RX-78 showed off what fans can expect when they visit the Yamashita Futo wharf attraction located at the end of Yamashita Park. The 55,000 pound Gundam boasts 34 points of articulation with an accompanying PA system modeled after the launch sequence seen in the series. Really serving as a faithful expression of the icon, the Gundam has light-up eyes when it fully activates and the Gundam Factory Yokohama complex which features information related to Gundam and exclusive merch also features a virtual RX-78 cockpit so visitors can look out at Yokohama from the chest of the life-size mech.
