Nelly's Custom 'Dancing With the Stars' Sneakers To Go To Auction
Expected to fetch around $50,000 USD.
Nelly is putting several of his custom Dancing With the Stars sneakers up for auction, with the proceeds going to non-profit organization, The Teen Project.
According to reports, the artist will be donating at least 10 pairs to the non-profit. The collection is projected to sell at around $50,000 USD, but the selection of footwear was not specified.
Earlier this 2020, Yung Swivel danced with a custom-made pair of “Black Cement” Air Jordan 3s that was crafted with a heel. He and his partner, professional dancer Daniella Karagach, took the stage with a routine to “Let’s Groove” by Earth, Wind & Fire.
Sources also note that Nelly has recently been “a major advocate” of The Teen Project, and that he helped raise $820,000 USD this year. In addition to the auction, the non-profit is also reportedly expecting $30,000 USD from the artist’s pockets.
