Nike continues to deploy fresh takes on its coveted Blazer Mid ’77 silhouette. Following Naomi Osaka’s COMME des GARÇONS collaboration and the “Infinite” pack, the athletic label unveils a new patchwork iteration reminiscent of the paneling on the brand’s Dunk Low.
Featuring similar design cues as the “Thank You For Caring” Dunk Low, the latest Blazer is swathed with pared down panelling in variations of grey tones. A grid-like pattern is immediately observed on the lateral portions with perforated sections near the heel cap and medial sides. Corduroy also makes its way into the makeup as it appears on the heel caps and mid-foot sections. Contrasting the textural appliqués are white midsoles and Swooshes to add balance.
Peep the patchwork Blazer Mid ’77 in the slideshow above and expect an official release on Nike’s website and select stores in the coming months.
