Commonwealth has reunited with adidas Consortium, continuing a long-running collaboration by taking on the Response CL silhouette. The stand-out feature of the sneaker is the contrast between the lateral and medial sides of the shoe.

For the lateral side, Commonwealth dressed the sneaker in a muted “Warm White” colorway, while the medial side comes in a range of earth tones with black Three Stripe branding. The sneaker itself is constructed from a range of materials, including stitched-down leather, molded suede panels, hairy suede and 3D Spacer Mesh.

Speaking about the collaborative sneaker, Commonwealth Design Director Omar Quiambao described it as “trying to bring back a sense of discovery.” This theme is referenced through the contrasting color palettes and design details on each side of the sneaker.

To launch the sneaker, Commonwealth has released an editorial featuring team members from its locations around the world. Announcing this campaign imagery, Commonwealth added, “We want to highlight the voices in our communities that have helped shape our journey and those that continue to inspire us.”

The Commonwealth x adidas Consortium Response CL is due to release via Commonwealth flagships and its web store on November 21.

In other footwear news, adidas Originals has linked up with Run-DMC for a new collection.
