Our Legacy WORK SHOP and Artek Reunite for "The Artist's Stool"
Inspired by motifs from the brand’s youth and school years.
Fresh from its Stüssy collaboration, Swedish label Our Legacy and its WORK SHOP line has now reunited with Artek for another capsule. Dubbed “The Artist’s Stool,” the collection features a number of Artek stools which have been customized by Stockholm-based artist and regular Our Legacy collaborator Hank Grüner.
As well as the reworked stools, the collaborative collection will also feature Our Legacy WORK SHOP x Artek merchandise, with a hoodie, long-sleeve and T-shirt all featuring Grüner’s artwork. The pieces all sport a hand-drawn take on Our Legacy WORK SHOP’s logo on the front, with large art works on the back.

Speaking about the collaboration, Our Legacy co-founder Jockum Hallin explained, “What we admire and respect with Alvar Aalto and Artek’s timeless design, is the ability to exist in both worlds, to be functional and decorative at the same time. For our continued collaborative work with Artek, we have taken inspiration from our youth, school years and time spent in public spaces. Elements such as carvings on the school bench top, flyers from the note board, woodwork burning and graffiti tags on the public bathroom wall decorates a number of Artek Stool 60.”
