Wood Wood Hits the Slopes With Second FW19 Drop
Going heavy on knitwear and bright colors.
After presenting its Fall/Winter 2019 collection back in July, Wood Wood has released the second round of its “Come Down Easy” seasonal drop.
The collection draws inspiration from the brand’s Nordic heritage, delivering knitwear, outerwear and performance pieces that work both on the runway and in alpine conditions. Several nods to skiing, climbing and mountaineering are referenced through pieces such as the tactical Benny boots, the jacquard knit Gunther sweater and Après T-shirt, a fitting reference for a piece to be worn “after skiing.”
Outerwear options such as the hooded crispy twill parka, a classic M65 jacket with a stowable hood and a padded lightweight hooded jacket are offered in muted, neutral tones as well as boldly printed camouflage designs. Checkered flannel shirts and combat trousers further accentuate the various alpine-themed references in “Come Down Easy,” while a selection of premium socks, luxe scarves and practical gloves round off drop two of FW19.
