Valentino Adds a Touch of Contemporary Refinement to Classic Long Coats
Complete with red logos and bold graphics.
Continuing its penchant for finely tailored garments, Valentino has released two traditional long coats that have been tweaked with a distinctively contemporary lens.
Both garments have been made using premium textiles and see a relaxed, yet refined fit. The black Time Traveller Coat uses technical fabrics in a mid-weight satin weave. The words “Time Traveller” is highlighted in a thin red serif font at the back yoke, while the lower hem of the piece is wrapped with graphics of a scenic landscape complete with flying saucers. The piece comes with two oversized patch pockets and a concealed central closure that starts with a silver-toned snap button at the collars.
The other piece is the beige Logo Trench Coat, crafted from a soft canvas weave. The garment’s standout feature is its detachable cape. Done up in tonal beige, this piece of the garment covers the back collars and hangs above the waist. “VALENTINO” branding is scrawled across the front chest, while marble-patterned buttons appear at the collar, pocket closure and cuffs. An extended single vent is seen at the back as a finishing note to the piece.
