Maison Margiela has updated its signature 22 Future Low sneaker with an all-new chunky shark-toothed sole unit. Dubbed the New 22 Future Low, the sneaker blends a clean retro aesthetic with futuristic design elements such as its standout split vamp and the new sole shape.
The New 22 Future Low is crafted from calfskin leather and sits atop the translucent gum rubber sole, offering a stark contrast between the well-known minimalist design and its track-and-field-inspired toothed sole. The split vamp and outlined throat stay true to the original design, hiding the tongue’s signature debossed numbers stamp.
Maison Margiela’s luxe craftsmanship continues inside the shoe too, with buttery tan leather on the interior. A single white stitch on the heel tab, Maison Margiela Paris embossing on the sole unit and a rear heel cut-out round off the sneaker’s design. The New 22 Future Low is available in black and white and is priced at £589 GBP (approx. $740 USD). Pick up your pair from END. and other select retailers.
