Fredo Bang Experiences Emotional Hardship in Visual for "Dawg Gone"
Honoring his late friend G Money.
Fredo Bang has a staunch hold through his deep drawl and melody-laden flow, offering up a revival of the Bayou’s long-standing relationship with hip-hop music. After releasing his latest project, Big Ape 3, earlier this year, the rapper has returned with a new visual for “Dawg Gone.”
The song, which has Bang revealing an emotional side after losing his best friend G Money, illustrates much of the hardship he dealt with after hearing of the Earth-shattering news in prison. The video follows this portrayal, with Bang depicted during his time while locked up, dramatizing the real-life events surrounding the news:
As depicted, a guard slipped a phone into his cell so he could call home to learn that his best friend, the brother he chose, was murdered. Fredo deep dives into his feelings and lets his heart cry through his cinematic lyrics…Fredo is released from prison and welcomed home by a loving family but he can’t be present in the moment because of his looming thoughts of G Money.
