New York City-based label Lousy NY evokes ‘90s aesthetics within its new Spring 2019 collection. With an editorial inspired by class picture day, the fledgling imprint purveys a vivid range of tees, polos and pullovers that merge preppy with cozy stylistic cues. Highlights include the baby pink rugby shirt in homage to legendary rapper Cam’ron, a teal pullover fleece, and a long-sleeve tee boasting a ‘90s snapshot of members of The Pussy Posse (Toby Maguire, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kevin Connolly).
“The new collection imagines life for the youth who are trapped in between the change, sort of like that shift between Junior and Senior year of college when you blossom into your true self,” said the designers and Harlemites Edgar De La Vega and Corey Beaton.
