Casa Campanario Combines Mexico's Vast Nature With Brutalist Minimalistic Design
The family home is open to the great outdoors.
Casa Campanario is the latest residential creation by Pérez Palacios Arquitectos Asociados, enlisting architect Alfonso de la Concha Rojas to co-create the 3,660 sqft rectangular space.
Situated in Querétaro, Mexico, Casa Campanario is a vast minimalist concrete house that is covered with a wooden skin on the first floor for interior privacy. The building brings the outside in, seeing an open-plan ground floor living space open up to the natural environment surrounding the house thanks to a wall of folding doors.
PPAA said in a press release that, “Having a rectangular site, restrictions by developers had an important impact on the project’s placement which required front and back free space… These restrictions were taken as having a single green space where the house was to be located on top of, having a side-to-side condition.” Take a look at Casa Campanario in the gallery above.
