OMEGA doubles down on its Apollo 11 50th anniversary watch offerings with a new Speedmaster. Following suit with the all-18k-gold burgundy bezel Speedy, this new 42mm commemorative release will largely be crafted in stainless steel with hits of 18k Moonshine™ and Ceragold™ detailing — seen in the subdials, indexes, and tachymeter scale.
Highlights of the watch include the polished black ceramic [ZrO2] bezel, the decorative caseback with a laser-engraved space-boot footprint, “THAT’S ONE SMALL STEP FOR A MAN, ONE GIANT LEAP FOR MANKIND” engraving, and 9 o’clock subdial which depicts Buzz Aldrin climbing onto the moon surface in gold.
Powered by OMEGA’s new Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861 movement, the Stainless Steel OMEGA Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Speedmaster is limited to 6,969 pieces, and will be priced at $9,650 USD.
