HBO Drops a 'Westworld' Trailer for Season 3 Starring Aaron Paul
Dolores makes an appearance too.
With Game of Thrones concluding its eight-season run this past week, many have been wondering where HBO will go from here. Knowing this, the network has been dropping some teasers for several of its upcoming series, including DC’s Watchmen. Now, adding to that roster is season three of Westworld, and HBO has just released a fresh trailer for it.
Starring Aaron Paul as the new lead, we’re introduced to different aspects of his character throughout the trailer under the guidance of his monologue. He first appears to be a construction worker, who works alongside other robots in a futuristic city. It then cuts to a darker side of the character, who is seen taking part in some sort of a heist, witnessing murders and himself being held at gun point. Finally, the conclusion sends fans of the show bustling with anticipation as Paul unexpectedly encounters Dolores, played by Evan Rachel Wood.
As with most things Westworld, the trailer leaves us with more questions than answers, but judging from the show’s track record, the mystery will probably pay off once the season hits HBO. For fans of the sci-fi series, Westworld will return to HBO for its third season some time in 2020. There’s no specific premiere date yet, so stay tuned for more updates to come.
And elsewhere in entertainment, there’s now more than a million signatures on the petition for HBO to remake season eight of Game of Thrones.
