Futura Teases New Sculpture Series With 'FL-001' Pointman Figure
As part of the artist’s forthcoming “CONSTELLATION” exhibition in Singapore.
In line with the prolific artist’s new “CONSTELLATION” solo exhibition in Singapore, Futura — real name Lenny McGurr — has teased a brand new sculpture entitled FL-001 to commemorate the forthcoming retrospective. The renowned New York street artist was commissioned to create 30 new works for the specific exhibition, which demonstrate Futura’s bold style that incorporates abstract motifs and space-infused symbology. The new sculpture channels McGurr’s signature Pointman figure, this time created in a metal material that has been further polished in a chrome-like manner. Details of the sculpture include the Pointman’s iconic over-sized hands, pointed limbs, and a tactical vest across the body. FL-001 is the first of a new sculpture series that has been shown to the public.
You can check out Futura’s new Pointman figure from the “CONSTELLATION” exhibition in the gallery above. If you’d like to check out more information surrounding the exhibition, you can do so via the official website.
