'Pet Sematary' Final Trailer Warns Us That "Dead Is Better"
Ancient burial grounds usually do more harm than good.
With the highly anticipated remake of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary only a week away from release, Paramount Pictures has released the film’s final trailer, showcasing what will set this film apart from the original film.
Although most of the film may lean closer to the original source material as written by King himself, directors Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kölsch have opted to take the material for his own by making some bold moves not seen in either the novel or 1989 film.
The most notable change, as suggested by the film’s official poster, is that the film’s youngest, Gabe, will not be resurrected. Instead, it will be his older sister whose life ends shortly before abruptly beginning anew. King, in a recent tweet, showed praise to the movie’s changes.
Check out the trailer above and the film in full when it premieres April 5.
