COMME des GARÇONS‘ youthful CDG diffusion line has made its way into Dover Street Market and CDG boutique locations across the globe, giving international fans access to the sub-label’s approachable graphic goods. Following the web store’s 2019 update, CDG has prepared to launch its third flagship location; following stores in Omotesando GYRE and Osaka, the brand is nearly set to open the doors to a location in Tokyo’s Marunouchi district, complete with a special capsule.

No imagery of the store itself has surfaced, but expect interior design similar to other COMME des GARÇONS shops: overhead lighting, mixed-material furnishings and an intentionally-chaotic layout. To mark the opening of the new location, CDG will offer an assortment of limited one-off items, alongside the seasonal goods already available online.

The new items include short-sleeved, poncho-like hoodies emblazoned with CDG logos and two long-sleeved tees sporting an all-over CDG print and the brand’s familiar slogans (i.e. “MY ENERGY COMES FROM FREEDOM”) at the chest. Two collaborative Stüssy shirts round out the selection of wearables, one juxtaposing the California streetwear label’s crown symbol with a CDG logo, and the other mashing up text from both brands across a black shirt.

The new store opens on April 3, complementing the exclusive capsule with a CDG logo necklace and branded plastic water bottle. If you can’t make it, keep an eye on the CDG web store to see if the exclusive goods make their way online.

Elsewhere, Stüssy launched its Osaka Miniami store with its own exclusive capsule.
