The Vetements runway showcased a number of boundary-pushing fashion statements for Spring/Summer 2019. For its latest endeavour, the Demna Gvasalia-helmed label has dropped a fleece jacket that incorporates a full-face balaclava.

From hem to head, the bullet-detailed zip closes together to provide wearers with a balaclava-esque face mask. Complete with trimmed holes for air circulation and zippable eye slots, the jacket features front and back embroidery – seeing an interpretive take on its logo branding on the front and a spiral on the rear.

Adding combat-styled lacing at the rear of the headpiece, the fleece takes a typical piece of active clothing and gives it a number of streetwear-influenced references, altogether delivering a uniquely Vetements look.

Priced at £780 GBP (approx. $1020 USD), head to retailers such as MATCHESFASHION.com to purchase your very own piece of controversial gear.

In case you missed it, here are the Vetements x Reebok Spike Runner 200’s as seen on its SS19 runway.
