mastermind WORLD's SS19 Straps Sweatshirt Draws From Punk Styling

For Spring/Summer 2019, designer Masaaki Homma utilized punk styling to update some of mastermind WORLD‘s signature pieces. Key to this mantra is the seasonal “Straps” sweater, complete with tonal branding.

Drawing from the bondage and S&M design elements synonymous with Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood‘s Seditionaries line, Homma added an intricate strap caging to the fledgling label’s French terry sweatshirt. The black Rib-Knit crewneck collar features cinch fastening straps that wrap front to back and obscure a grey mastermind WORLD logos. Finishing up the design of the piece is a cut shirttail hem which offers a more relaxed fit.
