'The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening' Is Getting Remade for the Switch
Link returns to the island of Koholint.
Fans of The Legend of Zelda can rejoice as it has just been announced at this year’s Nintendo Direct that the Japanese gaming giant would be remaking the classic The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening title for the Nintendo Switch. Originally released on Game Boy in 1993, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening sees the main protagonist of the series, Link, taken out from the kingdom of Hyrule, and stranded on the mysterious island of Koholint.
The update will see a huge improvement in graphics, changing the original 8-bit graphics to a 3-dimensional look, with cartoon-like features. As one of the highest ranking Zelda titles to date, this is one game that Nintendo fans do not want to miss out on. Check back soon for more info as the game is set to release on the Nintendo Switch this year.
