Kehlani has released a new track days before her highly anticipated mixtape, titled “Butterfly”.
Following the hit-single “Nights Like This” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Kehlani slows down the pace with her latest track and provides us with silky smooth vocals that ride alongside a distorted guitar riff.
Just like a butterfly, the song celebrates growth and personal development thanks to the power of love. The Californian songstress crones about feeling brand new as she feels a stronger love for someone, while discussing the room people have left for her to grow into who she has become.
Kehlani has truly grown into a household name on the charts and following her recent Grammy recognition for her contribution to Cardi B’s “Ring” on Invasion of Privacy, her mixtape While We Wait dropping February 22 cannot come sooner.
