Honda Covers the NSX & Civic Type R in Gold for Its 50th Anniversary in Australia
There’s even a gold lawnmower.
Honda has just celebrated 50 years in the Australian market with a fleet of gold-clad machines. While the main vehicles that steal the show are the NSX hybrid supercar and the Civic Type R hatchback, Honda also highlighted some of its products that rarely get the limelight — giving the Australia-assembled HRU19 Buffalo premium lawnmower, the EU22i leisure generator, and the CRF50F kids dirt bike full-gold makeovers.
When asked why they created such a whimsical set of machines, Honda Australia Managing Director & CEO, Hiroyuki Shimizu replied, “We thought about how we could celebrate our birthday and our unique diversity in a bold and fun way. I mean, who has ever seen a golden mower or generator before?” Photoed using the Australian Outback as the backdrop, the Golden Era of Performance 50th anniversary photoshoot highlights a series of legacy products from Honda, and their connection with the Australian market.
Each vinyl wrapped machine is not for sale and just one-of-one. Descriptions to each of the models can be found below:
