'Cats' Is Set to Receive an Update With "Improved Visual Effects"
After receiving disappointing box office numbers and getting critically panned.
According to reports, the film adaptation of Cats is set to receive an update. Universal Pictures recently informed theatres that they will be receiving a new version of the film with “improved visual effects” at director Tom Hooper’s request. The news comes shortly after Cats received disappointing opening box office numbers and got critically panned.
Reports are also noting that the director was not happy with the visual effects like many fans before the film’s release. Hooper had revealed that he was working on the look of the film up until the day before the official theatrical release.
